MARTHA LAYOUTS - DEISI VASQUEZ
FINAL KITCHEN
KITCHEN ONE (original) design
NOTES
We are strongly leaning the original layout, but with the island that you’ve detailed in #2 (below) with the “dogbone” island style. We’d love to take a different angle of the island, as it’s hard to tell what storage it would have, how it looks if facing the sink, etc. I’d also to have the option of “hiding” the TV, perhaps placing it in a cabinet with a pull down door.
I’ve also included a few photo examples of elements that we dig.
I don’t know how we’d pull it off structurally, but I love how the stove is centered in the last photo, framing it up perfectly against the kitchen island. This is a balanced look, and we could better hide a TV to the right of the stove.
Is a “t-bone” shaped island a terrible idea (2nd to last photo)?
Where would we put…
Charging station for electronics
Placement of Garbage can
Placement of Recycle can
Lazy Susan
Broom closet
Spice Rack
Pull out drawers for pantry
Paper towels
Placement of food disposal
Placement of microwave

Any open shelving
Space for art work or hanging of calendar

Drawers for miscellaneous items- tape, batteries, small tools, extras, etc.
Placement of sponges and dish cleaning sponge
Where do we hang dish towels
Do we want rug in front of sink

KITCHEN TWO
KITCHEN THREE
While this look is super interesting and creative, we’d like to stick to an island vs a peninsula.
KITCHEN FOUR
While this look is super interesting and creative, we’d like to stick to an island vs a peninsula.
LIVING ONE
What would the living room look like if there was one sofa against the wall, and one chair facing the front door? I like the look of the "L", but worry that the second chair closest to the kitchen may inhibit movement from the kitchen to the dining room / outside patio.
LIVING TWO (and KITCHEN LAYOUT TWO)
notes
We're going to put the piano in another room, so that doesn't need to be in the dining room any longer
Absolutely love the bookshelf / open shelving structure
Absolutely love the front door!
Concerned about the bench seating, having guests lean up against the windows. We’d like to explore a more “traditional” table / chair set up.
